Monday Motivation from Claire
Monday’s can be rough, and sometimes, we can all use some motivation. That’s why we’re launching a #MondayMotivation blog series bringing you tips and life hacks from industry leaders and some of the most creative entrepreneurs out there.
In April we brought together 150 female founders for Project Entrepreneur’s inaugural NYC Weekend Intensive. Claire was one of one of our PE Class of 2016 finalists, participating in a pitch competition at the conclusion of the weekend. Read how Marta Jamrozik, co-founder of Claire, stays motivated:
What motivated you to make the leap to launch your own startup?
I spent years in a corporate environment, and knew that startups were where I truly wanted to work. I love the process of building things from the ground up – it’s the most exciting thing in the world to me. Launching my own startup was a natural transition.
What motivates you to keep going?
My co-founder and I motivate each other to keep going. Both of us have worked on ideas on our own, and the amount of positivity and sheer willpower you need as a solo founder is astounding. We act as each other’s support system and keep things positive – this allows us to make the most out of every day. Also, making a product that people truly want, which also helps them, motivates me a great deal.
What do you do every Monday morning to prepare and motivate yourself for the coming week?
I do this every morning, not just Monday, but I love starting off the morning by reading. I usually read the news (TechCrunch is a daily visit) but have done novels in the past. I’m not a morning person, so this provides me with a way to ease into each day. Plus, I love understanding what’s happening in the industry, and learning new things.
