The Rundown: 2016 #PESummit Los Angeles
On Wednesday, November 9, we hosted 200 women entrepreneurs at Creative Artists Agency in Los Angeles for a day of motivation, inspiration, and community at Project Entrepreneur Summit | LA: Know Your Customer. Attendees connected with fellow female founders and workshopped ideas with inspiring business leaders, working together to build scalable, high growth companies that will shape the future of our economy.
The day began with “How to Build an End-to-End Customer Experience,” a keynote conversation with Rent the Runway Co-Founder & CEO Jenn Hyman and Laurel & Wolf Founder & CEO Leura Fine, moderated by Julia Boorstin, Senior Media & Entertainment Correspondent at CNBC. They shared personal stories of finding their customers and delivering a disruptive product with the aspiring and early-stage women entrepreneurs in attendance.
Interactive workshops were led by a host of successful women representing an array of industries:
Sparking Innovation: The Reverse War Game with Naseem Sayani, Founder of Digital Oxygen
Startup Fundamentals: From Idea to Launch with Deldelp Medina, Director of Residency Program at Code2040
Customer Acquisition through Guerrilla Marketing with Ramona Ortega, Founder & CEO of My Money My Future (Mi Dinero Mi Futuro)
Here are some of the attendees’ top takeaways from the day:
As women we are often dealt the harder hand in many situations, but it is how we choose to overcome those situations that pushes us forward. So grateful to have been able to spend the day at #PEsummit as they seek to level the playing field by helping women build scalable opportunities. Thank you @pjtentrepreneur @UBS. #FacesOfFounders
Today we learned about what WE can do to make our lives and our world a better place. I left feeling inspired and grateful to have been taught so much in a day. Thank you @pjtentrepreneur for the opportunity to listen to these amazing entrepreneurs and teachers. And, I had fun wearing a dress from @renttherunway #pesummit #lanetworking #renttherunway
