The Rundown: 2017 #PESummit San Francisco

On Wednesday, October 18, Project Entrepreneur’s second of three 2017 summits was held in San Francisco at Galvanize. The energy at Project Entrepreneur Summit | San Francisco: The Fundamentals of Funding was invigorating and spirited. Aspiring entrepreneurs networked with fellow female founders and workshopped ideas with inspiring business leaders, working together to build scalable, high growth companies that will shape the future of our economy.

 

 

The day began with welcome remarks from Lori Feinsilver, Head of Community Affairs & Executive Communications, Americas, UBS along with co-founders of Rent the Runway Jenn Hyman and Jenny Fleiss and ended with a keynote conversation with Jenn Hyman and Julia Hartz, Co-Founder & CEO of Eventbrite, moderated by Emily Chang.

Demonstrating Traction: What Metrics Investors Want To See and How To Get Them with Jenny Fleiss, Co-Founder of Rent the Runway, Anarghya Vardhana, Senior Associate at Maveron and Christine Moseley, Founder & CEO of Full Harvest Technologies.

Two pitching workshops were held that day entitled, The Perfect Verbal Pitch with Joanne Yuan, Associate Partner at Cowboy Ventures, Sara Deshpande, Partner at Maven Ventures, Linnea Conrad Roberts of GingerBread Capital Roberts Foundation New York and Menlo Park, Cristina Costa of GingerBread Capital as well as with Eurie Kim, General Partner, Forerunner Ventures and Gwen Cheni, Portfolio Manager, Pier 88 Investments.
