The Rundown: #PEIntensive17

On April 7-8, Project Entrepreneur and UBS hosted 200 women entrepreneurs in New York City for their second annual Project Entrepreneur Intensive. For two full days, attendees took part in hands-on workshops and mingled with other entrepreneurs, investors, and mentors. Of the entrepreneurs who attended, twelve were given the opportunity to pitch their business ventures to a group of investors for the chance to win a $10,000 grant along with a five week accelerated training program.

The Intensive kicked off with a keynote conversation between Jenny Fleiss, Co-Founder of Rent the Runway, and Kori Hale, anchor of Cheddar TV. They discussed how Rent the Runway came to be, and the vision behind Project Entrepreneur.

One of the highlights from the weekend was a keynote conversation between Spanx CEO and Founder Sara Blakely and CNN’s Poppy Harlow. They spoke about the proper mindset for scaling your business.

Attendees were continuously motivated in sessions led by successful businesswomen, including Carley Roney, Co-Founder of The Knot, Marla Beck, CEO and Co-Founder of Bluemercury Inc., Hayley Barna, Venture Partner at First Round Capital and Co-Founder of Birchbox, and more.
